Bug: hash no longer updates after user intervention
1. Click a bunch of links (1-6) and watch the url string update.
2. Manually change the hash portion of the url to any number between 1 and 6 (well any value will demonstrate the problem really.)
3. Click the links again, and see that the url is no longer changed.
4. Click the Alert link any time to see that the value changes in javascript, even though it doesn't in the location bar.
